7/3/22 How much time are we concerned about our spirit?
Scripture: Acts 3:1-10
Evangelist: Bro. Ian D. Nickerson, Sr.
- What is the role of the Holy Spirit?
- The power of the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the way you live!
- The first sign of the real presence of the Holy Spirit is seen in your ability to embrace togetherness. As shown through Peter and John
- What the Holy Spirit does is brings us together. When the spirit is present, there is unity
- The spirit brings us together 1 Cor. 12:13
- The real sign of the Holy Spirit is found in our ability to work together, to live together, to be together. Jesus brings people together
- It’s hard to hate someone you pray with
- Allow the Holy Spirit to lead us in times and places of prayer.
- The Holy Spirit will enable you to see other spirits around you. Your relationship with the Holy Spirit equips you to make good earthly decisions.
- The working of the Holy Spirit is not limited to spiritual things but to the very real earthly things as a society we traverse.
- Evidence in the life of Jesus as he cares for the hungry and homeless. It’s having something to say about the mistreatment of others
- In Acts 3 we see what the Holy Spirit enables us to do
- Everybody who is down is not down by their own bad decisions
- A lack of opportunities does not translate to a lack of intelligence
- We need to be able to see others as God sees me
- Another sign of the Holy Spirit is our ability to see others as God sees them
- Part of the power of the Holy Spirit is to open our eyes to see! To see what is happening right outside the doors of the church building
- For your cup to be full, you depend on others. It’s not about what’s in you cup but what’s inside of you.
- The mentality is sustaining your life but the with mentality is God being with you and will help you
- We are not here to fill a begging cup, but to transform people
