1/28/24 Right Living and Right Teaching in the Kingdom of God

Scripture: Acts 18:24-36

  1. ​​The coming and going of the kingdom of God: Right Living and Right Teaching
  2. Radical transformation in our thinking that shows up in our living
  3. ​​We live our lives based on the tenets of Christianity and what is written in the word of God
  4. ​​Right teaching- proclaiming and declaring his message to the world
  5. ​​We have responsibilities and the going has to do with our teaching. As you go you can’t teach what you want to teach.
  6. 1 Cor. 6:9
  7. When you come to Jesus, you inherit the kingdom of God. To come to Jesus, you have to make changes in your life
  8. You have to come in contact with the blood of Jesus
  9. ​​Matthew 19:16
  10. Question: What’s stopping you from making the decision to be born again? What’s stopping you from living your life for Jesus?
  11. ​​You can’t get to dirty that God can’t clean you. Don’t let anything stop you from going to Jesus
  12. ​​Acts 18:24
  13. ​​In order to teach you need to know the word of God
  14. Some of us may love the Lord and know the Bible, but your teaching about Jesus is coming up short
  15. This is the situation with Apollos. All he knew was up to John’s baptism.
  16. ​​You can only teach what you know
  17. ​​It’s possible to know God, love God, tell other people about God, like Apollos
  18. ​​Because Apollos didn’t know about Jesus
  19. Acts 19:1-2
  20. It’s important to have the right teaching
  21. ​​Paul knew when you teach some things people come to Christ. Apollos wasn’t teaching it
  22. ​​People have a zeal for God but its not only according to Jesus
  23. ​​Romans 10:1-2
  24. ​​1 Timothy 4:15
  25. ​​1 Peter 1:22
  26. ​​The right teaching is important
  27. ​​We are born again through the teaching and word of God
  28. ​​Sometimes the word of God is offensive and a stumbling block for many. But that’s why we have to lay down our life and surrender to Jesus.
