11/20/22 Holy Help for Healthy Respect

Scripture: John 16:12-13

1. We fail to communicate with God the Spirit which gives us difficulties living this Christian life
2. Gen 1:26 Let us make man in our image. Who is he talking to?
3. Plural word but singular in force
4. God has a name…we know him as God. He also has titles. God the Father
5. God who is Jesus
6. God the Holy Spirit Acts 5
7. The Holy Spirit is God Colossians 1
8.  All agreeing in One. They have functions. God the Father functions as provider.
9. ​He provided Jesus Christ. Everything we need He has provided.
10. Jesus who is our Savior. He came so that the world through Him might be saved
11. Holy Spirit is our helper to help us live a successful life as Christians. He is our comforter.
12. Sometimes we ask God to do what Jesus can do or the Holy Spirit can do
13. ​It’s not that God doesn’t care, it’s just not his function
14. ​God the Father is set apart and Holy.
15. God can’t deal with the stench of our sin. He sends Jesus to clean us up and reconcile us back to God
16. God the son as Jesus is seated. God the Holy Spirit is active on earth now
17. ​God the Father is in heaven. Jesus is in heaven. The Holy Spirit is here on Earth
18. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God. Why is he sitting…Because he is finished
19. Jesus has left to provide the Holy Spirit to be our helper/comforter.
20. The Holy Spirit works within the confines of God’s word. He helps us to be obedient
21. He comforts us all the way through. God gives you what you need to secure your journey to heaven.
22. We all need the Holy Spirit in order to get into heaven. He’s your guarantee, our way in. Ephesians 1:13
23. You must have the Holy Spirit in order to get into the kingdom of God
24. ​In order to get into the kingdom of God. You need proof that you’ve been born again which comes with the Holy Spirit
25. Acts 2:38
26. You get the Holy Spirit when you are baptized
